Zephyr Café & Bar

A large, modern café inside Tākina with plenty of space, comfortable seating, and a naturally laptop-friendly atmosphere. It’s clearly a favourite with Wellington’s remote-work crowd, so you’ll usually find plenty of other people tapping away on their laptops. The reliable WellyWiFi is easy to join, and there’s also a small outdoor seating area sheltered from the famous Wellington wind.

Power outlets are almost nonexistent. The only accessible sockets are at two large group tables against the black walls, which are not particularly practical for a solo remote worker. It’s best to arrive with your devices fully charged. Open seven days, Zephyr is a brilliant central spot for meeting someone, settling in with a coffee, or getting a solid stretch of work done.
